back to the old testament we go, looks like we’ll have two videos in a row about the commandments. i’m not sure whether he intended to cover all ten commandments but i only see two commandment focused videos in the list so it’s possible he just wanted to cover the first and second and then he moved on

back to making claims that michelle obama is actually a man. one of my least favourite conspiracies these assholes push

once again jim complains about the russian revolution and the death of tsar nicholas. also known as “the bloody,” who could possibly imagine why people would want to get rid of him as head of state

we’re talking about the first commandment which interestingly does not propose monotheism like most people think it does, it actually just describes the rank of god among the pantheon - there are to be no other gods before me, i get primacy. it doesn’t say there are no other gods

oh we get a hot new conspiracy that i’ve never heard before: “they shall have no other god before them but satan. and that’s why the house of rothschild always sets a dinner place at the table for satan to come and eat with them” citation needed

jim would hate to hear this but he is absolutely the kind of pharisee that jesus was yelling about, so obsessed with following the exact details of the law that they tithed even their dill, mint, and cumin

jim asserts that the ten commandments are anti-homosexual but no, they aren’t. there are verses in the bible that discuss homosexuality but not in the ten commandments

apparently jim thinks that church steeples are phallic. that might tell us more about him than it does about the churches if i’m honest

i’m not sure if this is significant or not but i think it’s interesting that exodus switches back and forth between calling god yahweh and elohim. it’s pretty widely believed among scholars that yahweh and el were different gods, possibly in a chronos-zeus sort of relationship for people who know greek mythology. eventually yahweh either replaced el for the israelite people or absorbed him

seems relevant to bring up that jim is really opposed to the 14th amendment. once again he’s only like, 5 years too early for the modern republican party to really embrace him

feels like jim is asking for money today. pretty out of the norm for his videos although i concede there may have been a general pre-recorded call for support/commercial included on the dvd’s that didn’t get included in the uploads. either way i don’t generally hear him asking for support

“if everything is love how can you have an antichrist?” he’s said this several times and i still don’t really understand how those two dots are connected in his head

jim loves to name off the 12 white nations of the earth that come from the 12 tribes but i can’t help noticing there are a lot more than just 12 countries that i would consider to be mostly “white”. what happens to those countries? why don’t they get included?

as far as i can tell, we only have his coverage of the first two commandments, the second of which is next up on the docket. i’d really be interested in his analysis of the “thou shalt not commit adultery” commandment, knowing what we know about him, but i’m afraid we may never get clarity
